Shipping & Return Policies |
Crown International Distributing discloses the following regarding the
shipment of an order to a customer:
Before Shipping: A regular street or business address is required for
orders to be shipped. No P.O. boxes or other types of paid receiving services
will be shipped to via online ordering. Contact Crown toll free at
1-800-715-4227 to arrange shipments to P.O. boxes or paid receiving address
should the need arise.
All online orders must be paid prior to shipment. PO's, C.O.D., and personal
checks are not accepted online. Call Crown toll free at 1-800-715-4227 to
inquire about PO's and personal check orders.
Packaging and Potential for Damage: Products are shipped inside of an
approved shipping container or other packaging. Original packaging remains with
all shipments, except where noted for clearance or special items. All efforts
will be made to ensure that a package arrives undamaged and sufficiently
protected.
Crown is NOT responsible for damage to shipments after they have left
our business offices. Damaged shipments must be reported immediately to Crown
International. Arrangements will be made to replace or re-ship an item with
sufficient documentation, and UPS (or what ever alternate parcel carrier may be
used) will be contacted and brought in to correct the situation since all
packages are insured. Crown will make every reasonable effort to replace damaged
goods in a timely and cost efficient manner.
Insurance: Products are automatically insured with every shipment. Our
shipping charges take this into account. No exception.
Handling: Crown International does not believe in excessive handling
costs that are passed along to the customer. Our online billing and shopping
cart system uses a generalized shipping table that is built using the latest UPS
charge tables by zone. Often, the price of shipping reflected on our site is
actually lower than indicated online at the time of purchase; as such, your
final bill total can reflect an actual lower price if a shipping cost adjustment
is made. Adjusted bills will be sent via email to the address provided when your
order ships.
Our shipping rates include and reflect a built in handling charge that covers
our materials cost in packaging and readying your order for pick up. Handling
charges built into our shipping costs are our costs only in packaging properly
your order.
Tracking: Upon shipping via United Parcel Service, crown will email
the customer with a confirmation email of shipment and include the UPS provided
tracking number for that package. You can track your package online with United
Parcel Service.
Small Item Orders: Certain items sold online are relatively small and
light. These items may be shipped via the United States Postal Service at
significantly reduced cost. Items will be packed in an USPS approved outer
container and the savings will be reflected in your final billing. Notification
of this form of shipping will be made in your shipping confirmation email.
International Orders: International orders are shipped via the most reliable
and least expensive method possible given the final destination. Costs reflected
in our online ordering and shopping cart system DO NOT take in to account
international shipping costs. Crown will contact the customer upon receipt of
the order to confirm any additional shipping costs PRIOR to charging a
customer or shipping an item. International customers will receive an identical
shipping confirmation email at the time of shipment, along with any possible
tracking information. All other policies listed above apply to international
orders and shipping.
Back Orders: Occasionally, however unlikely, some product items listed
in the online store may become unavailable after you place your order. While
Crown takes every step possible to ensure that adequate stock levels of all
products are maintained, sometimes a shortage may occur, placing your order on
"backorder" status. In this event, your credit card will not be charged and you
will be immediately notified of the backorder status of your purchase. If you do
not indicate differently, Crown will move forward with processing your order and
charging your credit card once your purchase is back in stock.
If part of your purchase is in stock, while part is not, you will also be
notified of this and given the option to process the part of your order in stock
(at additional shipping cost potentially), resend the order, or place the entire
order on hold until the backordered item is back in stock.
You must reply immediately to your shipping back order notice (via email)
within 5 days from origination or it will be assumed that your do wish the order
to go through once your item(s) is/are back in stock.
RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)
Crown International realizes that products not meet the needs of a Customer
or be defective or incorrect upon delivery.
However, to ensure reasonable service and costs, Crown International will not
accept returns without prior authorization (RMA) as disclosed in this policy. Customers must acquire authorization
of return under our Product Purchase and Return Policy by contacting Crown prior to the
10th day
after receipt of product at the final destination of shipping. Authorization to
a Customer may be either in the form of electronic email or written notice in
response to the Customer's request for authorization. Once Crown has authorized
a return to our store properly, the Customer has 15 days to ensure reasonable
return of the product to Crown International. All products authorized for
return must be shipped to Crown International, 7 Fetzer
Drive #2, Bloomington, IL 61704 only even you received them from a
different location. A refund is not possible
without the properly authorized return of purchased products first.
If you find defect with any product ordered through our websites within 15 days of receipt please contact
Crown International Distributing immediately. Crown International
Distributing will not authorize an RMA after 15 days from the time of receipt
and will apply individual product warranty terms after said period.
Additionally, customers are notified that some manufacturers and distributors
of products we represent and carry on our websites will ONLY accept returns directly to
themselves. Products directly shipped from the manufacturer (drop ship)
will not be eligible for return to Crown International at any time.
Customers are also here by notified that directly shipped items (drop ship) from
the manufacturer or distributor of a product to be returned are held to that
manufacturer or distributors online policies in all respects. In this
case, Crown International will inform the Customer and assist them in getting in
contact with said manufacturer as needed.
Opened software may not be returned unless defective. Defective software will
be replaced if our testing agrees that it is defective, but no refund will be
made.
Orders returned without a valid RMA will be refused and returned.
Products MAY NOT be returned to Crown International after 15 days have
passed from the date of receipt by the Customer. Crown may take steps, at our
discretion, to aid in returning products directly to the manufacturer for their
warranty support as part of
our standard Customer service, but this is not guaranteed at any time.
Refunds
Refunds will only be given to customers on products we authorize for return.
Crown International Distributing retains all discretion and right to refund
original shipping costs and/or taxes on RMA transactions.
Refunds for properly authorized return products are given within 30
business days of Crown International receiving and inspecting your shipment
(when applicable). A restocking and processing fee may apply to all
non-defective returns at our discretion; the fee is 15% of the original purchase
price of the returned product.
Credit card orders
will be refunded in the form a credit towards the original card less the credit
card discount charge, shipping and restocking fees.
