Speech Recognition Training - On-Site or Web-Based

While it is true that most people will be able to install and learn the basics of dictation software without help, most Physicians, Attorneys and other professional users simply cannot afford to waste time with learning from experience how to best use their dictation software.  It is a fact: without proper training novice users can commit mistakes, quickly ruining the efficiency and accuracy of your speech recognition product and expending valuable time making corrections.  And both ViaVoice and NaturallySpeaking are packed with advanced features designed to increase the functionality of your dictation efforts and increase the automation of common tasks - an untrained user will find these advanced features difficult or impossible to master without professional training.

For professional use, we recommend that users of IBM ViaVoice for Windows Release 10 (rev B), Pro USB Edition and Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 Professional, Medical or Legal  Solutions dictation software receive approximately six to eight hours of training. We can provide this training in a variety of ways, custom tailored to meet your practices specific needs:

  • One on one training sessions for small practices and businesses
  • Train the Trainer” sessions coupled with consultancy and planning has the benefit of giving your IT staff the necessary training to provide in-house support in a more cost efficient manner

Crown is pleased to announce the availability of web-based training  using the online service of Citrix 'Go To Meeting'.  One on one  live training via a streaming link across your broadband internet service in your office or home.  With our new online training services you can save on-site costs while still receiving the benefits of professional training in your speech recognition software solution.  

  • Secure!  Our online training is secure and does not compromise your sensitive PC and Network data thanks to Go To Meeting's proprietary design features. 
  • Real Time!  Our trainer can work with you (and your staff) live and in real time, providing training, answering questions, assisting you in best practice corrections, and assisting all attendees in learning how to get the most out of speech recognition.
  • Talk, Listen, See!  With online training via Go To Meeting you can ask questions and receive professional training via the included voice conferencing service while watching everything on your PC screen.  When needed our trainer can see what you are doing on your computer screen (only if you allow it).
  • Done in four - 2 Hour real time sessions at our normal day rate with no travel expenses to save you money.  Web based training is Limited to one trainee at a time.  

Also available . . . Web-Based ViaVoice  and Dragon Refresher Training for groups of up to 10 users at a time.  The (up to) ten users can all be in different locations as long as they all have high speed internet access  and a telephone for audio.  Fees will be negotiated based on number of users and time involved.  This training will be conducted in several approximately two  hour time blocks rather than all in one day.
